Network Integration

Making computers talk to each other is like marriage counseling - the key is making sure that they have a strong connection and they're listening to each other properly. Our technical staff has years of experience running cabling and integrating a wide array of devices into an internal TCP/IP network (TCP/IP stands for Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol, and it's really just a fancy way of talking about IP addresses, those sets of numbers with the dots that look like xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx - think of them like phone numbers for technology). We've worked with Point of Sale peripheral, Power over Ethernet devices, and some of the more popular hardware firewalls out there.

What makes us the best choice

Two things seperate us from most of the pack in this department. One, of course, is our rates - we'll quote the job at a flat rate, not an hourly one, so any unexpected complications we might encounter don't become problems for your budget. (One time we had to find a way to drill through brick in a basement to get it done because it turned out the taco restaurant we were working in had actually been two buildings back in the old days. Ahhh, Eastern Massachusetts, how we love your strange and interesting ways. But we did what we had to do to make sure our customer was happy! Honestly we don't run into many surprises anymore, we document every complication we ever have and look for it in future site surveys.) We honor our quote and we stick by it, even if we lose out on the deal. Why? Well, partly because we're nice, but mostly because we approach every customer relationship as just that - a relationship. And we're betting that if we stand by you today, then you'll stand by us tomorrow. Then we all win.

Who needs a network? If you have more than one computer and you want them all to access something else - a shared printer, a server, or the internet itself - then you need a network. Lately, that's just about everybody, ranging from residential households that just want to make sure they can stream a movie from their laptop to their Playstation 3 without it skipping horribly, through small businesses that want to share the same printer and work together on the same documents, all the way to large restaurants that want to share data between ten point of sale cash registers and an accounting server - all while giving their customers free internet access and keeping their credit card information secure from hackers. All of that and a great deal more is within our area of expertise.

Contact us if you'd like to discuss ways in which we can make your network work better for you.
